Find out why we are so passionate about what we do …

Biodegradable - means that a product will breakdown naturally, relatively quickly and safely to carbon dioxide, water and organic matter when exposed to moisture heat and micro-organisms. As our biodegradable products are all made from plant based resources they are all non-toxic too.

Bioplastic - is a form of plastic derived from renewable resources, such as corn starch rather than traditional plastics which are derived from petroleum. They are used either as a direct replacement for traditional plastics and are generally regarded as a more sustainable product than plastic production from petroleum.

Fair trade - ensures workers are getting a fair deal for the goods they produce. It is an empowering social movement that often benefits families and communities through payment of decent wages, increased skills, knowledge, health and education.

Organic Cotton - is grown from plants that are free from chemicals and are not genetically modified. Pesticides used on conventional cotton contaminate our ground and surface water. Birds are killed from aerial spraying and fish are killed from pesticides polluting streams and rivers. There are significant health risks to farmers from the handling of these known cancer causing chemicals. To read more about this important issue, click on the following link

Recycled - products have been made using the waste of another product. By using these ‘waste’ materials instead of putting them in landfill, the consumption of raw materials is reduced as is energy usage and pollution.

Renewable resource - is a natural resource that can be replenished by natural processes, at a rate equal to or faster than its consumption. Fossil fuels are a non-renewable resource.

Sustainable - means choosing a product that has minimal long term impact. Sustainability is all about preserving the world’s natural resources for future generations.
